Wow. I apologize to myself for not blogging for a long while. So, what have I been up to? Well right now I'm gearing up to go back to school. I'm kinda excited because I'm taking some fun classes and I only have class Monday nights, Tuesday and Thursday! I'm taking a film classics class, the history of rock 'n' roll, science in science fiction, and cultural pluralism (I have no idea what this is, but it fills a GE requirement haha). The only class I didn't get that I wanted was my b/w photography class :( I'll just have to take it either during the summer or in the fall.
As far as work goes, I really need to find a new job. I'm really not liking Target Starbucks. For example tonight: Maria's my "precloser" till 7:30 then she leaves and I'm alone till we close at 9 and I get a half hour to clean. She ends up having to give Food Ave their 15 min break and 45 min lunch, leaving me by myself to preclose, take orders and make drinks, so it's basically like she's not there. THEN I'm told by someone else that the LOD wants me gone by 9:30 because I've been staying 15 to 20 min later to leave a nice close for the morning person. Just to give some perspective: a regular Starbucks gets 3 people to close and they get 45 min. and I'm alone and get 30 min. If the freaking LOD wants me out of there on time and leave a decent close then they're crazy and there needs to be 2 closers or at least the precloser needs to stay until 9 or 8:30 at the earliest. So, all in all, I need to either get at a real Starbucks that will treat me well and make me not loathe coming to work or find something totally different. I mean at this point, I seriously don't want to go to work because the people in charge have created this awful environment. Now, Maria did speak with the manager and supposively we're going to be getting more hours so we'll have more people there at a time, but I'm doubting that will happen. I think it's time to put in another round of apps to all the Starbucks by my house.
On the house note, Maria and I are trying to find a place to move into. We found some really cheap 1 or 2 bedroom apartments around State which would be nice. However, we both are waiting on financial aid to come in so we have a bit of money to also buy Stagecoach tickets. And of course I've been saving up money for my bday trip to Vegas. Hopefully that trip will pan out. I just need to get together with my mom and book a hotel and Phantom tickets. I mainly just want to see Phantom and maybe go bar/club hopping. I don't really care about going to a fancy restuarant anymore cause let's face it, I'm not rich! And I also don't know how much my mom is planning on pitching in, if anything, cause we're all broke. Sure, I got my Europe trip when I was 15, but my sister has had plenty of Jonas Brothers concerts that make up for that, so hopefully I won't be paying for this whole trip. I don't mind paying for most of it like the hotel, tickets, and gas, but hopefully everyone who goes can at least buy food and drinks! haha Anyways, this post is long enough and need to get to bed so I can get up at a decent time to get my hair cut.
