Random rant, xmas, bdays, new years

It's amazing how much hate I can have towards a person I don't even know. It truly amazes me. I mean, I don't usually hate anyone or anything. It's a strong word I don't normally throw around with serious meaning, but there's one person right now that I'm really hating on. Like wishing they were dead kind of hate. I know that's bad, but at the same time I have the sick notion of believing it to be understandable and justified. I'm shocked by myself. I really didn't think I could have so much hate towards someone. This is a very weird experience for me...I think typing it all out is helping to a degree...maybe...What I should do though is just get over it. Move on. Forgive and forget. But it's just so hard for me. I guess I'm just so stubborn and bitter and emotional that I'm getting in my own way of not hating and letting it go. I mean there are worst things in life. Right? I dunno. Ugh. Just put on a happy face has been my motto for awhile now. I thought that maybe if I just acted happy I would be happy, but that's not working. Well, maybe it's working temporarily, but then I get reminded and that brings me down again. I kind of hate blogs, computers, and technology in general. Even though I use it on a daily basis, technology has just brought crappiness to my life. And it's ironic that I would then try to use it, meaning this blog, to help me get out my thoughts and try to untangle them. Haha I'm so funny. Well, enough of that.

Christmas Eve aka my mom's birthday, we all went up to the big D and that was good times. All the xmas decor at Dland always makes me warm and fuzzy inside. Then, Christmas Day my mommy made yummy dutch oven pancake and canadian bacon egg cups. It was delicious! Then we opened presents and watched the Disney parade on tv, as usual. I got a bunch of goodies like dvds, cds, and vintage hairstyling books. Then we went over to the La Jolla house and had dinner and more present unwrapping. After the family overload, Megan and I went to Charlie's to watch the end of the Charger game and play boardgames with some the Starbucks/Food Ave peeps. And of course yesterday was Megan's 18th bday. She tried going to Dland with the bf, but it was sold out:( but today she had a party, like I did, at Dave and Buster's with all her friends. So, I guess it's already New Year's Eve. Probably go shopping with Megan and then I'm not sure of my evening plans, but we'll see...

MmmmMmm...Coca-Cola...

I don't know why, but lately I've started drinking Coke a lot. I'm kinda addicted haha I'm having cravings for it, like tonight. I had my mom and sis pick me up one at Wal-Mart and am drinking it as I type!

So I've had a bit of a cold for the past week. I actually couldn't talk on Sunday, I had to barely whisper everything. My voice is a little better, but I still sound like a man. Today was filled with cookie baking for everyone at the auction and trying to stay warm. It was cold today! Right now I'm under my heater blanket thank goodness. My boss Marylynn got me a super cute Juicy necklace! (pictured above) I love it! It's so me! haha

Anyhoo, Christmas is just a few days away and I can't wait! Tomorrow I'm going to wrap all my presents for my family and watch my favorite Christmas movies with my mom and Megan. Then, unfortunately I have to work at 7pm until close, but then on Thursday the family's going to Disneyland for my mama's birthday! And then it'll be Christmas! YAY!

I'm in love with Dierks Bentley! Last Wednesday, Maria and I went to see him in LA at the Wiltern and it was one of the best times I've had at a concert. I don't know if it was the country music or not feeling like I was going to die in a mosh pit, but it was so much fun! And not to mention Dierks is hooootttt<3333 Maria and I were right in the front of the stage and Dierks even sang to Maria and embarassed her haha but she loved it. Anyway, I'm starting to like country now, which is weird for me, but I don't care!

So this week is finals week. I've already taken my econ and spanish finals and hopefully I'll pass! Tomorrow I've got my art final, which isn't really a final, it's just talking about our piece. And then Wednesday I have my english final and I'll be done! yay!

Dad hung up lights around the house yesterday and Mom's putting lights on the tree right now. It's beginning to feel a lot like christmas! :)

Procrastination is my middle name!

I just love procrastinating by looking at clothing sites and wishing I could buy everything! It just sucks cause there's so much cute stuff I want, but I'm trying to be good and save for someday moving out/my 21st bday Vegas extravaganza. I'm not sure how much it's gonna cost me yet, but I want to go to Las Vegas for my 21st birthday (I know, so original right?). I want to stay at the Venetian for a couple nights, see the Phantom show, and eat at a fancy restaurant. Not sure who would go with me besides Maria, my mom and maybe my sister, but that's kinda a rough plan of what I want to do.

Anyway, back to the procrastination part. I've got a wonderful weekend and coming week filled with an astronomy paper and presentation, work, my final art project, reading for english and econ, my oral exam in spanish, and then of course finals for all my classes the following week.

Oh yeah, I wanted to share the details of my exciting final art project! Basically, we get design our own cd covers to a playlist of 5 songs of our choice. The medium is watercolor and we have to do 4 small paintings(1 for the front, 1 for the back, and 2 for the inside). Mine's kinda a tribute to the late 50's/early 60's and The Beatles. My playlist is "She Does" by Locksley, "I Feel Fine" by The Beatles, "If it were up to me" by Rooney, "Love Me Do" by The Beatles and "All My Loving" the version from the movie Across the Universe. I've already started on my vintage chevy coupe and then I'm going to do a guitar, a record, and then I'm still not sure on the last one. But overall I'm really excited about!

Busy, busy, busy!

Here's the final product of my project that was due. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and my teacher seemed to like it, so yay! I'm so ready for my classes to be over and done with! Just a few more weeks! yay! So, this past weekend I've just been working like a crazy person. Worked 21 hours in the past three days which is more than I sometimes get in a week! Thanksgiving was yummy. Maria joined my sister and I for dinner at my aunt and uncle's. My poor parents were too sick to go :( I made the mashed potatoes and italian mac-n-cheese with tofu for Megan since she's the only vegetarian now. And the turkey was delicious by the way! Mwahahaha! I'm glad I'm not vegetarian anymore. How I have missed In-n-Out cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets haha.

A fun week ahead of reading and getting caught up in econ, starting my final art project (which I will go into more detail about later), and starting and finishing my lovely paper and presentation for my astro lab! Oh such fun it is to be a college student:)

Oh my!

I promised I wouldn't neglect this blog and look at me! Well to my defense I've been SUPER busy. Right now in fact I should be finishing my drawing that's due tomorrow. It's in chalk pastels on this cool rough brown paper. We're supposed to draw a person and then 2 separate objects that go with it and then figure out a way to arrange them all. I'm drawing Johnny Depp as Captain Jack with a sword on one side and a ship (specifically the Lady Washington) on the other. I've already done the ship and sword, now all that's left is Jack! Hopefully it turns out well! I've never really considered myself a painter/drawer type. I like to take pictures! haha oh well...

The little things in life...

So lately I've been crazed with work and school. I've got an english midterm Friday that I need to study up for and hopefully I'll be going to Disneyland Thursday to finally experience the HalloweenTime offerings like the new fireworks show and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy! But, as for the past couple days here's what went down:

Friday wasn't too eventful. Just class in the morn, work in the afternoon, and homework in the evening. Saturday was fun. For some reason we (The Daily Aztec) weren't approved to cover the Tech N9ne concert at HOB, so instead of partying it up with a bunch of rappers, I went to see Zombieland with my pal Maria. This movie was sooooo funnny! I'm so glad we saw it! It kinda threw me off with the zombies literally sprinting after you instead of slowly shuffling around, but it added to the humor of things. I really liked how it had a nice ending, but still didn't leave you with a total happily ever after. Anyhoo, I really enjoyed it. Next I want to see Where The Wild Things Are, Whip It, and Toy Story in 3D (if it's still out). After the movie, we went back to Maria's and watched Old School projected on her backyard wall. God I love that movie haha. And today I went and got my nails done with Micha (poor thing is recovering from the dreaded Swine Flu) and then work.

Just like in Zombieland, I'm trying to appreciate the little things in life. For me it's spending time with the few friends I've got, cuddling with my kitties, and watching 3 Project Runways in a row with my mom haha. So from now on I'm going to try and not let stupid stuff get to me and ruin my day and just enjoy those little moments in life with loved ones.

First Post

Alrightly, so this is my first little post of my new blog/journal/diary/place to ramble! I've had xanga, livejournal and all that in the past and I never kept with it, so maybe this will be different? I hope so! So, I'm really not expecting anyone to actually read this, it's just a way for me to de-stress and get everything out. I might also use this to document my photo publications from The Daily Aztec. So (I've already started to notice I say "so" ALOT) I guess we will start with today....

Today I had lovely class at 8am. Then I found out that I got a C+ on my english paper regarding the poem "Howl." I'm rather bummed about that considering I thought it was at least worthy of a B+, if not an A. Oh well, I will do better next time! After getting a yummy Caramel Apple Spice (I really like this drink, but none of my co-workers really like it cause it's super sweet, but I guess I have a sweet tooth cause I think it's delicious!) from Starbucks, I headed over to the library to start my spanish project. When I left the library, some random girls were handing out coupons for free panties at Macy's. I took one of course haha. Yeah and so then I went to spanish class and came home. Not terribly exciting, but my day no less. Also, I'm closing Starbucks tonight cause for some reason nobody got scheduled. Yay more hours for me!
